About

The Boone Area Chamber of Commerce and Boone Sunrise Rotary Club are set to co-host the inaugural High Country Toast. The two-day festival features events at The Jones House Friday night, June 23rd (6-9pm) and Appalachian Ski Mountain Saturday night, June 24th (6-9pm).

“All are Welcome, All are Needed” for our first community event. Friday night’s events will be held at The Jones House, featuring the music of Strictly Strings and Strictly Clean and Decent. Twist the Baloonman will provide entertainment for kids of all ages and Boone Photo Booth will be on hand to help patrons capture the evening. Mast General Store will also provide popcorn to those in attendance.

Members of the Boone Independent Restaurants will provide samples of various menu and specialty items throughout Friday evening. Area brewers, including Appalachian Mountain Brewery, Blowing Rock Ale, American Ale House, Lost Province, and Booneshine will provide beer tastings to those 21-and over. Grandfather Vineyard will distribute wine tastings during the event as well. With the central location of The Jones House, patrons will have easy walking access to dozens of Downtown Boone restaurants and shops to complement a full night of family enjoyment.

Saturday night, the focus shifts to Appalachian Ski Mountain for an evening of delicious food, world class wine samples, and live music – all for adults. ASM’s award-wining catering staff sets the culinary tone of the evening with food samples from numerous local sources. Casa Rustica and The Gamekeeper will complement the food offerings with delicious samples from their renowned catering menus. Wine vendors from around the region provide tastings from some of the world’s top producers along with an array from local vineyards.

Attendees will enjoy the music of Kennedy Fitzsimmons while spending the evening on the spacious balcony of one of the area’s top tourist attractions. Guests can also access a special lift ride to the top of the mountain where Boone Photo Booth will provide the perfect long-range view shots to mark the occasion.

While the adults play at Appalachian Ski Mountain, kids can play too at High Gravity Adventures. Saturday evening from 5:30-9:30pm, children ages 4-13 can enjoy supervised access to the Foothills Course, Blue Ridge Course, or Ninja Ground course based on age and ability. Special rates apply and reservations are required. More details are available at http://www.highgravityadventures.com/high-country-toast.
